Freedom Fighter and Activist Rizza Islam Targeted (Again) by US Government

Who is Rizza Islam?

Upon hearing his name, many things come to mind… “Brother,” “Activist,” “Freedom Fighter,” and “Teacher.” Many recall seeing this dynamic and passionate man on the internet, in viral videos – excerpts of his fact-filled interviews and mind blowing material. With the internet and social media as popular as they are today, some believe that Rizza Islam started on the internet, however that is far from the truth.

Raised in Compton, California and the youngest of 10 siblings, Rizza Islam started his career at the tender age of 9 years old. Back then, he was not a fan of school. Like many of his peers, he was far more interested in playing sports and video games. A student of The World Literacy Crusade, Rizza was asked to help tutor a younger student in their youth literacy program one day. He hesitantly agreed, and that selfless decision set the course for the rest of his life. 

One afternoon, Rizza helped explain a complicated lesson to the young student. The way he explained the material made her light up. She actually understood! She looked at Rizza with genuine appreciation and thanked him for his assistance. It was then that Rizza realized he had found his calling. Since that day, Rizza Islam has dedicated his life to educating and uplifting youth and adults in underserved and impoverished communities.

At the age of 13, he began running his own course room. By 15, he had already helped hundreds with improving their literacy and communication skills. He went on to train youth and adults in Morals, Ethics, Literacy, Communication, Drug Education, and many other topics designed to assist students to make better choices in their lives. 

While Rizza worked with World Literacy Crusade, later known as American Health and Education Clinics, he fought for the people. He pushed to eliminate illiteracy. He stood for social improvement, saving thousands of lives by providing access to self development and workplace training courses, drug education, and more. Teachers like Rizza truly gave people a second chance at life with their encouragement, training, and guidance. The organization was shut down in 2013, yet Rizza continued on.

An esteemed leader in California and beyond, Rizza became internationally known for his advocacy - educating the masses on topics such as; drug trafficking, poisoning of the food supply, sex trafficking, bodily autonomy and medical freedom, the link between vaccines and autism, and human rights, to name a few. He became more politically active around 2015, speaking before politicians, doctors, lawyers, teachers, and more.

In the year 2020 when the world was shaken by a pandemic of fear and lies, Rizza Islam stood on truth, boldly using his influence to spread knowledge with research backed facts. Due to this, he was targeted by The White House and social media companies who listed him as one of the “Disinformation Dozen,” censoring him on social media to limit his reach and stop the truth. Rizza Islam was not swayed by this. Account after account, video after video, and platform after platform, Brother Rizza continued on his mission.

He traveled state to state on a medical freedom tour, arming the people with solutions, educating the masses in venues filled to capacity. He empowered them by speaking about their rights and true medical information that was being omitted from the mainstream media. He even brought legal and medical professionals to these events to present their findings which validated all of what he said. Many who shared the stage with him were scientists and whistleblowers who worked for the very same government that continues to censor him. 

In 2022, Rizza was invited to present from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial where Dr. Martin Luther King gave his legendary “I Have a Dream” speech. Rizza spoke to over 30,000 people in an effort to fight for the rights of every American citizen at the “Defeat The Mandates” rally. This was broadcasted via CSPAN and more than 50 scientists and medical professionals graced the stage with Rizza, calling for an end to the attack on the civil liberties of all Americans.

In 2023, Brother Rizza Islam launched Intellectual Xtremist, his potent podcast with the goal to share knowledge on topics ranging from mental health to various agendas, ideologies, and issues facing society in today's times. In each episode, he highlights history and ties it to the present in a humorous, yet bold and educational manner, encouraging viewers to become free thinkers and do further research to uncover truth for themselves. The podcast has faced much backlash including censorship and banning from YouTube. This did not stop Brother Rizza from spreading the truth. The show now lives on Rumble.

Though he does not do this work for the recognition or accolades, Rizza Islam has been recognized by countless individuals and organizations for his service. 

On January 15, 2008, he was awarded the Hero in the Hood Award by World Literacy Crusade International. The award, presented by the Executive Council, was “For [his] outstanding commitment to serving as youth ambassador for young people in [his] community.” 

On January 20, 2010, he was recognized by the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles by President and CEO, Larry M. Rosen for community work and involvement with inner city youth as a mentor.

On May 7, 2010, he was recognized by Jason L. Seward, the Founder of Millennium Momentum Foundation Incorporated - Leadership Development Institution, Class of 2010,  for completion of their leadership development program.

On May 25, 2010, he was recognized by the Mayor and City Council of Compton, California for his commitment and work in education, literacy, and leadership.

On June 19, 2011, he was awarded The Stephanie Hamilton Community Spirit Award by Ebony Awakening for helping to improve literacy in the inner city and salvage the lives of over 15,000 inner city youth and adults. This award was presented on the 50th year anniversary of the Freedom Rides, a pivotal demonstration of the Civil Rights Movement.

In 2013, he was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by Mary Shuttleworth, President of Youth for Human Rights, International and Penelope Ladron Guevara, Ms. Multicultural Mundo United Nations Ambassador of Art, Culture, and Education. The certificate was presented at The Youth for Human Rights International’s 10th World Educational Tour to acknowledge his valuable contributions in educating over 1,000 inner city youth about their human rights.

On December 7, 2019, he was presented with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition - “Voice of the City of Los Angeles” by Congresswoman Karen Bass who is the current Mayor of Los Angeles. The award was in recognition of outstanding and invaluable service to the community.

In 2021, he was presented with the Humanitarian Award by Urban Reads Bookstore in Baltimore, Maryland.

On May 17, 2021, he was given his own Holiday - Rizza Islam Appreciation Day, by the City of South Fulton, Georgia. This was presented by the Mayor and City Council, recognizing his work to educate and fight for people within inner cities and across the country.

In 2022, he was recognized by the Black House Hero Tulsa Real Estate Fund (TREF) Legacy Center for his outstanding contributions to the economic, political, and social repair of our community.

Rizza Islam still recalls the feeling he felt after tutoring for the first time. He still recalls students who credit him with saving their lives, giving them a chance when the rest of the world turned their backs. He remembers the motivated mothers, the tearful teenagers, the fearless fathers, and the empowered elderly who speak to him after conferences and events, thanking him for his dedication to the community. This is what drives him. This is his passion and his mission, full time.

Rizza Islam is being targeted. He has been targeted for a long time. On June 26, 2023, he is standing trial for crimes he did not commit. His character will be targeted. His reputation will be attacked. He will be wrongfully accused, as he has been in the past, when all he has done is work to help liberate people from the many shackles of the system. The system does not like that. 

But just as I know, and the people know, Rizza Islam is innocent. The only thing this man is guilty of is sacrificing his time, efforts, and energy for the freedom, health, education and uplifting of inner city youth and adults in underserved and impoverished communities. He is guilty of wanting better for himself, for you, and for me. He is guilty of not selling out, and not accepting deceit or defeat.

So I ask again, who is Rizza Islam?

Rizza Islam is our brother. He is an activist. He is a freedom fighter. He is a teacher. He is a leader. He is an advocate for the people. Rizza Islam is innocent.
