Rizza Islam awarded for educating inner-city youth about their human rights!
Seeing how virtually everything that affects human beings in a negative way benefits other human beings who are thriving off of inhumane treatments. From pharmaceutical companies financially benefiting from selling drugs which damage human beings by the millions to the overall systemic racism which seeks to maintain the status quo by an overall oppression of Black people and others.
In a world like this it is imperative that we know our rights as human beings in order to protect ourselves from any level of oppression and to end oppression completely. As a result of his work within the inner cities of Compton, Watts, Long Beach, Gardena, Los Angeles, Inglewood, and South Central CA Rizza Islam was recognized and awarded in 2013 by the Youth for human rights association international for his fighting for and educating of tens of thousands of Black inner-city youth about their human rights! Would it shock you to know that the majority of people on planet earth do not know about the Universal declaration of human rights?
The universal declaration of human rights is an international document adopted by the United Nations General assembly that secures the rights and freedoms of all human beings. Drafted by UN committee shared by Eleanor Roosevelt, it was accepted by the general assembly as Resolution 217 during its third session on December 10, 1948 at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, France. Of the 58 members of the United Nations at the time, 48 voted in favor, none against, eight abstained, and two did not vote.
This document contains 30 articles outlining specific factors which apply to all human beings on planet earth.
Here are the first four articles;
1. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
2. Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this declaration.
3. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.
4. No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.
Just to name a few. For the full list of all 30 articles click here:

Now while we know the United Nations has a level of corruption the articles are simply factual truths and universal blocks of security that validate the humanity of every living human being. This is why our children must be educated on their rights and about their rights as human beings living in the society, for our ignorance is a multi-billion $ industry.
Rizza Islam being an international activist, community servant, researcher and now best-selling independent author took it upon himself to stand up for our inner-city youth who so flagrantly are abandoned in most cases. By 2013 Rizza had successfully educated more than 5000 inner-city youth about their human rights between the ages of 6 and 18 and of course many adults as well. This, by the way, was without the help of any social media. Schools, community centers and community events were the primary avenues that were utilized. Boots on the ground, grass roots work!
